Core 307 Physical Therapy FAQs
Comprehensive Care to the CORE in Gillette, WY
Here Are Some Most Frequently Asked Questions
How Does Core 307 PT Differ from Other Clinics in Town?
At Core 307 Physical Therapy, we’re not here to reinvent the wheel — we recognize that Gillette is home to many excellent healthcare providers. What sets us apart is our dedication to truly personalized care and the strong relationships we build with our patients.
You’ll be seen by a licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant at every single visit — no exceptions. We believe that consistent, hands-on care is key to tracking your progress, adjusting your treatment plan in real time, and making sure you feel heard, understood, and supported.
Your health can change quickly — and when it does, we’re right there with you. Just as you put your trust in us to help you heal, we’re committed to earning that trust by being present, reliable, and genuinely invested in your well-being at every step.
How Do I Know if Physical Therapy Is Right for Me?
At Core 307 Physical Therapy, we offer FREE consultations to help you decide if physical therapy is the right fit for your condition or injury.
We’ll sit down with you at a time that works for your schedule, discuss your symptoms, and determine whether PT can help you meet your goals. If physical therapy is appropriate, we’ll guide you through the next steps — including contacting your provider for a referral, if needed.
Not sure about your insurance coverage? No problem — we’ll also verify your benefits and help you understand what to expect before you begin treatment.
Do I Need to See My Doctor Before Starting Physical Therapy?
Yes and no — it depends on your insurance and age.
Wyoming is a Direct Access state, which means you can see a physical therapist without a referral for up to 30 calendar days. Many insurance plans allow this, so you can get started with care right away.
However, some insurance companies do require a referral from a provider before beginning treatment — including:
Medicare
Medicaid
Veteran’s Affairs
Certain employer or workers’ comp plans
Important Note: Patients under the age of 13 must be evaluated by a medical provider before starting physical therapy, regardless of insurance.
How Long Will Physical Therapy Take?
We understand your time is valuable — especially for shift workers, busy parents, and those juggling a full schedule. That’s why at Core 307 Physical Therapy, we focus on delivering efficient, high-quality care that gives you the most benefit in the least amount of time.
What to Expect:

đź•’ Follow-Up Visits:
Time: 30–60 minutes
Frequency and duration will vary based on your injury, provider input, and personal goals.
How Long Will I Need PT?
Most patients complete their treatment in 2 to 8 weeks, but this depends on your diagnosis. Some post-operative cases or complex conditions may require a longer treatment timeline. We'll always keep you informed and involved every step of the way.
What Will My Insurance Cover?
Insurance coverage can vary widely from plan to plan, and we understand how confusing it can be to keep up with changes in the healthcare system. That’s why we’re here to help guide you through it.
Benefits depend on your specific insurance provider and policy. We encourage you to contact your insurance company directly before starting treatment. If you prefer, our team can handle that for you.
